S1E4: A LOT OF STEWARDSHIP
WITH GUEST KATIE BEST-RICHMOND
In Episode 4: A Lot of Stewardship we sit down with Katie Best-Richmond to unpack her role as the Pastor of Stewardship for the Mennonite Church of San Antonio and how they have transformed an empty lot on their property. Anchored by 2 coffee and food trailers, Café Cotidiano and Las Catrachitas, this lot is now a community gathering space in which the food enterprises bring in funds that are creating financial independence for families seeking asylum. As Café Cotidiano’s name states, the endeavor brings to life the concept of daily bread feeding families and community.
Hosts Ramiro Gonzales and Elizabeth Coffee take us through the tactical from startup costs and hurdles to the big picture of a congregation on a journey to steward resources and participate in the creative work of God in our neighborhoods.

Learn More about the Make Good Fellowship
“I was asked today what my favorite part of doing everything is, and honestly, I feel like every day I get to serve communion to the community… And that is the hope of this. It’s ‘How do we physically and spiritually provide a place of healing for people, a place where they feel known and cared for and safe?’” (Katie Best-Richmond)
